The Indestructible Bottle

The christening of a ship is mean to be a special occasion that has taken place for more than 5,000 years. The Titanic was no different, but the champagne bottle used for this ceremony would not break after striking the ship. Many people believed that it was a curse that led to the ship’s demise.

A Cursed Ship?

Not only cursed by the unbreakable champagne bottle, but there were some rumblings that the ship was cursed by the people who passed away during the construction of the Titanic. Another rumor was that the Hope Diamond was on the ship when it sank and one that claimed an ancient mummy was the cause.
